As part of Downtown Oak Park’s annual Light Pole Banner Program, I was invited to create original artwork inspired by the vibrant character of the neighborhood I now call home. The initiative features local artists whose work is printed on street banners and sponsored by local businesses—bringing bold, expressive art to the everyday experience of walking downtown.

Living in Oak Park has inspired a more reflective approach in my recent work, drawing from the quiet beauty of its parks, streets, and shared spaces. The area’s diversity and sense of calm have sharpened my focus on how environments—both public and personal—shape our experiences. This piece captures the subtle energy found in those in-between moments: stillness, connection, and a deep appreciation for place.
